'Metro sexual' Wayne Rooney stuns fans with 'over-plucked eyebrows'

London, Feb 7: Wayne Rooney stunned his fans by sporting a rather different pair of eyebrows on Sunday, prompting speculation that he may have had them either plucked or shaved.

The 26-year-old Manchester United player showed off his new look at a football match against Chelsea F.C. at Stamford Bridge in London.

His wife Coleen, who is known for enjoying a pampering session or two, may have been the one to persuade the footballer to take a seat in the beautician’s chair.

The star’s facial feature must have been fairly noticeable as it soon became a talking point of social networking site Twitter.

“Has Rooney had his eyebrows plucked?” the Daily Mail quoted one person as tweeting.

“Wayne Rooney''s eyebrows are scary,” another said.

The father-of-one was even sporting the tell-tale signs of having his eyebrows threaded or waxed as the surrounding areas looked a little red.

Rooney, who has already had a hair transplant, perhaps fancies himself as being a metrosexual.

The sportsmen felt no shame in admitting that he had undergone the procedure last year to revive his vanishing locks. (ANI)
